We are dedicated to empower Native, Indigenous and all people, to gain a better understanding of their identities and the world around them through community, cultural and environmental engagement as a path forward towards individual growth; mind, body and spirit.
Unci Intertribal exists to promote the wellness of all living beings, the foodways, waterways, and the People of Mother Earth. This work is guided by traditional, Indigenous teachings and ways of life.
Unci, means Grandmother and Grandmother Earth in Lakota. All the work that we do at Uniting Natives Culturally and Intertribally, is grounded by the values, care, and ways of the traditional grandmothers.
Unci Intertribal is an organization centering Indigenous Knowledge to promote a world of peace through the protection and restoration of environments, the revitalization of cultural identities, and culturally grounded education.
The work we do encompasses Indigenous environmental preservation, traditions and lifestyles, health and wellness, generational wisdom, traditional ecological knowledge, culture and revitalization of environmental connection, and community service.
